El Palomar is a comfortable holiday cottage in the region of the Francia Mountains. Come and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the surrounding environment.

It is self-catering throughout the year and is fully prepared for visitors to feel themselves at home.

It can accommodate 10 guests and is a two-storey, with a total area of ​​250m2 distributed in 5 bedrooms (2 king-sized and 3 double), lounge-dining room, fully equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The upper floor has sloping ceilings.

It has central heating. It also has a large terrace and indoor parking area. The exterior has a barbecue and a small garden.

Environment & Activities El Palomar***

Location:

It is located in a place called "el palomar" in Linares de Riofrio, a beautiful village located in the south of the province of Salamanca. Featuring large areas of vegetation, this village is the gateway to the region of the Francia Mountains and Alagon River Valley.
It features beautiful natural treasures such as the "Honfría", with its chestnut, oak, hazel and holly trees, also has a theme park dedicated to native flora and fauna. Also "El Cerezo" y "El Cántaro" sources, and tourist attractions such as its sixteenth-century parish church, dedicated to Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.

The town has all services - restaurants, bars, nightclubs, supermarkets, health centre, chemist's, petrol station, daily bus service to Salamanca and Madrid, taxi, outdoor sports facilities, swimming pools, etc... and all of them very close to the house.

Activities:

To make the most of this area, you can do multiple activities both in the town and in the surrounding area. Among them:

• Hiking to breathe fresh air and enjoy its flora and fauna.
• Climbing Honfría up to the Pico Cervero, which links to our neighboring town, Escurial de la Sierra.
• On the way to the "Honfría", as well as enjoy its beauty, you can visit the old "lime kilns", currently being restored. Some years ago, Linares was a major lime producer. This lime was used for building, among other things, the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca.
• Outdoor sports. 100 metres away from the house, you can do outdoor sports such as pelota and tennis court, playground, local swimming pools, etc.
• "La Covatilla" Ski Resort in Béjar, located 40 km from Linares.
• Trips to natural pools in Valero de la Sierra, about 8 km away.
• And, of course, a visit to the main villages in the Francia Mountains, really beautiful as well, and some of them declared "Historical Sites".
