The Francia Mountains in Salamanca is just the "charra" plain ends and beautiful monumental mountain towns start. La Alberca stands as the undisputed capital of mountain architecture. Mogarraz, San Martin del Castañar, San Esteban de la Sierra and Garcibuey are just a few of the most outstanding towns in this land, rich in folklore, crafts and traditional foods. Forests, mountain streams, cruisers, old bullrings, and religious monuments make these mountains one of the biggest attractions of nature tourism in the province of Salamanca.

We recommend to visit:

• Salamanca.
• Candelario. It is a beautiful nearby mid-mountain village 54 km of Bejar. La Covatilla Ski Resort.
