Las Casitas del Huerto are six small holiday cottages built on a 3000m2 country estate with native trees such as walnut, chestnut, apple, cherry trees... less than 200 m from the town. They are environment-friendly holiday cottages.

They have 2 attic bedrooms on the second floor, bathroom and toilet, living room-kitchen with fireplace... Ideal accommodations for 2-5 people to spend unforgettable days surrounded by nature and tranquility.

La cantina de Elías. We offer the restaurant "La Cantina de Elías", located at the entrance of the town. Our menu offers traditional mountain dishes based on local products such as meat and sausages from our own animals.

Our oak-wood-burning grill allows you to taste the best roast beef: "morucha" steaks, kid, Iberian pork delicatessen...

We also offer a wide selection of Iberian hams, sausages and cheese, or if you prefer our beans, garlic soup, "patatas revolconas"... and finally delicious homemade desserts: cheesecake, rice pudding, "leche frita"... All washed down with a selection of local wines - Riojas, Ribera del Duero, Somontano...

Location:

La Alberca is one of the best preserved villages with a genuine popular architecture. Our holiday cottages have been built following the local traditional architecture criteria using wood and stone. It is the most representative village in Batuecas-Sierra de Francia Natural Park, recently declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. A lush varied native vegetation, fresh crystal clear waters with an abundance of sources and locations for natural baths, wild nature and breathtaking scenery - Peña Francia, Las Batuecas Valley, and a wealth of fauna species: eagles, vultures, deer, Hispanic goats, lynx... endangered animals.

Local architecture features stone, mud and wood suspended in the air, with intricate streets closed to light and the sun. Ancient customs and traditions are preserved: "La moza de las ánimas", "El marrano de San Antón", as well as popular festivities such as "Diagosto", Corpus...

Fossil footprints, cave paintings in rock shelters, chapels, convents and monasteries, incredibly beautiful trails and paths for walking. Privileged site, less than an hour from Salamanca, 50 km from Ciudad Rodrigo and Portugal, bordering Las Hurdes region and within less than 15 km four mountain villages declared historical heritage such as Miranda del Castañar, San Martín del Castañar, Mogarraz and Sequeros. In addition to spectacular landscapes: Batuecas, Peña de Francia...
