Finca Sa Màniga is NOT pet friendly

The estate:
Sa Màniga is a typically Majorcan manor house surrounded by nature at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana, near Palma, which makes a quiet place where nature surrounds everything to make guests feel in their own world.

Just contacting with almond and pine trees that surround the property opens your eyes to something that felt like asleep, buried by hectic diary life. From here, the use of time depends on each one. Whether for pleasure, or as a starting point for many excursions, in winter or summer.

The house:
The current house was built in 1901 on the site where there was a primitive estate, of which only the underground structure is left. Its former owners, an aristocratic Majorcan family, used it as a summer house, since its walls offer a good protection against the sun, so the house has a cool interior environment.
It is divided in two buildings: the cow house and the main house. The latter is currently inhabited by the couple that takes care, manages and does the maintenance of sa Màniga. This rural tourism resort was opened in 2000 and got the "Mallorca Tradicional de la Conselleria de Turisme de les Illes Balears" qualification.

The rooms:
All rooms, spaces to meet and disappear, open the large characteristic windows of the house to the landscape from east to west. The external light seeps through the cracks in the blinds to let imagination go to places unique and different for each guest.
They all have 2 beds, satellite TV, bathroom with hairdryer, A/C, heating, mini-bar, free Wi-Fi and safe, as well as towels for the swimming pool. All these features turn the rooms into small bubbles of peace.

The landscape:
The summit of Mount Teix, the comuna of Bunyola and the steep mountains of the Tramuntana contrast with the plain where Bunyola sits. They surround this rural hotel where everything invites you to enjoy all your senses. Pine trees and olive trees are all over, the air smells like summer sun, like a night full of stars, like a warm spring of blue days and mild temperatures, like the fall with its fallen leaves, like trees asleep during winter. At sa Màniga, the most pleasant relax is in the air.

Environment & Activities Finca Sa Màniga

Bunyola is one of those little charming villages that don’t appear in the tourist guides or brochures for mass tourism. Its inhabitants, little by little, have adapted to wise and ancient passage of time, while learning to live with a soft rhythm which only remains in a few places.

The village has taken its shape from its people, but it has also left its indelible imprint on them. And Sa Màniga stands in one of its most beautiful spots.

The municipality where the village is and which it is named after is an area of 84 km2, it has little more than 5,500 inhabitants and a population density of 67 people per km2, a lot lower than the average in Majorca (almost 186). Although there is plain and mountain, two very contrasted landscapes, it is considered as a natural county of the Tramuntana Mountains,

However, even being a relatively small village, in Bunyola you can find all the services you need to have a relaxed holiday without depriving yourself of anything.

• Trekking
Majorca is an island that allows a great number of activities. The Tramuntana on the West, with several summits higher than 1000 metres, Puig Major with 1450 metres, or Serra de Llevant with its highest 561 summit are the steepest in the island. The marinas South and North, and the central plain are perfect for walks, be it in routes or trekking.

• Biking
There also are 1,250 kilometers of roads, of which 675 are secondary and local roads, and 20% of them are mountain roads. For this reason, it is one of the best options for biking lovers, both mountain-bikers and road bikers.

• Gastronomy
The memory of ancestral civilizations have made of it one of the more varied in the country. Get fascinated by dishes with rich pulses, or by those with exquisite fish, and enjoy the best flavor in a meat dish.

• Golf
Playing golf is also possible, since from the rural hotel Sa Màniga you will have access to more than 20 courses that are within 15 and 60 minutes from the hotel. The mild climate all year round, with an average temperature of 14º in January and 25º in June allows golf players to play all year around.

• Horse riding
Majorca is on the list of must-do for all riders who love tranquility. Sa Màniga is surrounded by a unique nature where you will enjoy the best holiday and do your favourite sport.
