Villa de Fuentidueña is northern Segovia, in the valley of the Duratón River. It stands by the river up a steep hillside defended by rocky cliffs where vultures nest. Warlike and highborn, rustic and cozy, it offers a pleasant stay full of surprises, surrounded by tranquility and away from everything.

Enjoy the wonderful scenery of the area: Duratón riverbank, "Las Vencías" Reservoir, next to Hoces del Duratón, natural springs where you can swim even in summer and spring, Romanesque churches, Celtiberian tombs, and all a series of monuments related to a historical past that you should not hesitate to discover.

You can do multiple water activities in the reservoir, climbing, caving, trout and crab fishing and great excursions.

El Salidero is a traditionally built house carefully restored in stone, wood, paper make it cozy, comfortable and warm to relax and enjoy a few days of vacation.

It consists of 3 floors:

On the ground floor has a large bathroom, wooden rustic kitchen with oven, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator, fully equipped. Cozy dining room with TV, DVD, a sitting area off the kitchen.

From this double height dining room you can get into a spacious living room with a stone and slate fireplace, a widescreen TV, sofa and table. It's a very nice relaxing area.

In turn, from this room you can access a patio where there is a picnic area with barbecue grill, and garden furniture. This patio can be closed in winter, and open to let in air and sunlight in summer. And you can have lunch or dinner and spend pleasant evenings there.

Children can play in the covered patio or they can go to the playground next to the river safely. Rackets and football ball available.

The second floor has 3 double rooms, two of them king-sized, and a bathroom.

Finally the attic, the most special area in the house. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms - one king size bedroom with bathroom, one children bedroom with truckle bed, and another separate king size bedroom.

The house has a great oil heating, firewood, wine cooler, paella pan, traditional and electric coffee makers, blender, sandwich maker, toaster and mud pans.

• Fuentidueña fishing preserve: Duratón River, trout and crab fishing in Coto de Fuentidueña, carp and trout fishing in La Serranilla. Preserve in Vivar de Fuentidueña, 5 km away.

• Cave of La Cantera in Fuentidueña: Tours. End of the cave unknown! Proper equipment required.

• The natural springs in El Salidero: A few metres from the house, you can find a large square with ancient natural springs and natural sources, a lovely place to relax. It is said that these waters have therapeutic properties. Villagers usually go there with their buckets to collect water.

• Las Vencias (2 km): Popular reservoir. Walking tour from the village along the Duratón River (you can even have a dip along the route and in the reservoir), canoeing in La Serranilla, and water activities in the reservoir, as well as fishing.
