  Can Vila is pet friendly (ask the owner).  

Can Vila is a magnificent old house to fully enjoy green tourism and leisure. It is a detached holiday cottage with fantastic views of the village of Anglés. Halfway between Girona and Olot, it is well connected, allowing you to enjoy both the beach and the mountains. It is also perfect to forget about driving and make great walks through forests of oaks and pines, enjoy biking and hiking trails and discover the joys of cultural and gastronomic tourism. I has just been certified to 4 Spikes - one of the highest green tourism standards.

• The house has five bedrooms - Two double bedrooms, one triple, and the other two can accommodate up to four people. They all have bathroom and heating.
• A large living room with fireplace, library and board games.
• The dining room is large and dominated by a large fireplace.

• There is a lovely 12 x 6 m swimming pool, which is covered up at the end of summer to extend the swimming season a few weeks more.
• A hammock area and lawns for sunbathing, large garden to sit and read quietly and a covered porch.
• A table table, a pair of basketball baskets and children's play area away from the house so as not to disturb anyone.
• An area protected by a vine that has tables with benches for summer dinners.
• There is also a parking area.

• The price of the room includes accommodation and breakfast for two. Pets are welcome (€6 / night fee).

La Selva is a region with centuries of history and culture synthesized in 1,030.6 km2 area. History explained through prehistoric, Roman baths, castles and watchtowers, farmhouses Catalan modernist buildings and lots of heritage items. In addition to local traditions, most diverse museums and a beautiful natural setting.

You can visit charming rural villages such as Osorno, Amer, the old quarter of Anglés, the Romanesque bridge of Sant Julià, El Coll, the Susqueda Reservoir, Route of the Chapels, Girona and the Jewish Quarter, La Crosa de Sant Dalmai Volcano, Fageda d'en Jorda, Botanic Gardens in Blanes, and more.

Natural areas of interest:
• Collsacabra - A beautiful scenery, highlighting Los Escarpados del Far. Due to its location in wet Catalonia, it features Atlantic vegetation.

• Estanys de Sils - Wet area formed by a small lake system, and a vestige of the old wet plain in the region.

• Crosa de Sant Dalmai - Small volcanic set of extreme singularity, with an explosion crater which is one of the best exponents of Quaternary volcanism in Catalonia.


• Sant Julià de Llor Streets - Sant Julià de Llor is a rural village of scattered farmhouses. It has a populated centre, with three groups of dwelling and picturesque unconnected streets - El Carrer Vell, at the foot of Sant mountain.

• Julià, along the Ter, consists of houses with 18th-century-carved lintels.
Santa Coloma de Farners Castle - In the nearby town of Santa Coloma de Farners, you can visit the Farners Castle, dating from 11th century and recently restored. It has a cylindrical main tower over 12 metres high, and several stretches of wall. From there, you can also enjoy interesting views of the region.

• Tossa Vila Vella - On Tossa beach, you can visit the old fortified town, with its watchtowers, walls and delicious walks around the old quarter, and enjoy excellent views of the sea that may remind you the past.
• Pont Vell in Sant Julià de Llor - The bridge is located next to a Roman road that from Gerunda, went across the mountains along the left bank of the Ter River. The restoration work could confirm the origin of the huge Roman stones holding the base of the arches. The current bridge is considered to be one of the finest remaining samples of late Gothic civil construction.

• The hermitage of Sant Julià de Llor. - Parish church, likely pre-Romanesque, cited in Amer monastery documents (949). The church is located on top of the highest mountain in the municipality (295 m) and its interior was restored and remodeled.
