Hello:

Our names are Alicia and Luismi, and with our two kids (Ada and Noah), live at the edge of a small village of 20 inhabitants (where the road ends), in a very quiet environment surrounded by beech and oak trees.
We take care of our animals (dogs, cats, trout, goats, chickens, donkeys, rabbits and ducks) and organic garden. You can come and help or just join in our daily chores.

We have 3 properties for you to rest.
• Mari Cruz Cottage(B & B): This is the house where the family lived. At the top there are 3 bedrooms and a living room with fireplace for you. Downstairs, a dining room with piped music, books, magazines. And under the stairs, a place full of toys.

• Marcos 1 Cottage (whole house): Has a single large bedroom, where there is a tree where kids can sleep. A large bathroom, and downstairs a dining room-kitchen with its fireplace. It has direct access to the farm garden and is an ideal place to see the goats and chickens, and birds in the oak forest.

• Marcos 2 Cottage (whole house): Has two bedrooms, and the top has a large living room with its fireplace and bathroom. Balcony with stunning views over meadows with grazing cows and horses and raptors.

On Marcos Cottage ground floor there are the communal areas:
• The kitchen for all cottages, where you can cook with us.
• A hollow tree where children play and goblins painted it a thousand colours (Warning: It is owned by the children and we have to ask permission to enter).
• A library with local information, movies and music and a computer for those who need it.

The new house is heated by underfloor heating and energy is 100% biomass.

We have tried to get the most out the old house and the old wood oak has been largely recovered to make furniture.

At the breakfast, lunch and dinner we offer you as much organic and homemade food as possible, both from our garden-farm and local organic farmers. We also have a showcase including organic products such as cheese, wine, etc.

We believe in being as self-sufficient as possible (although we are still far from it), and make: bread, jam, quince, jarred beans, tomatoes, peppers, beets, spirits, pig slaughtering, from which we get their products.

We want to be a holiday cottage ideal for children. We have different entertainments: PlayStation, DVD children, games and toys and children's furniture: cribs, small bathtubs, saddle road, backpacks, highchairs, walkies... In short, our goal is to prevent you from overloading your car (suffered that ourselves).

Outside, there are also a small slide, house, swing, tricycles, motorcycles... to share with our children.

You can use the fridge and microwave. We also prepare special menus for children and picnic excursions. Also purees for kids.

Our house is surrounded by greenery, at the edge of the village. There are three beautiful walking routes. There is a small green space to play, and the top is the orchard-farm, with roaming animals. Also you can see neighbours' cows and mares grazing nearby.

We help you prepare your routes and excursions in Navarra (if you want to take the car) by Iratí, Roncesvalles, Lumbier Ochagavía, France... and if you prefer hiking, you may find marked trails.

You can help:
• On the farm: feed, collect eggs, clean animals...
• In the garden: plant, pick, water...
And according to season: put nests, gather fruit to make jams, bring sticks for the garden, for firewood (cutting, stacking...)

Environment & Activities Agroturismo Mari Cruz

Location:

Pirate and Samson (our "beasts") sleep on the porch, a perfect place for summer gatherings. From here you can take a path (50 metres) leading you to the old laundry. We are almost at the end of the village, in the bush, no cars here, only those who come to our house.

Roosters, chickens, cats, goats, sheep, rabbits, trout, ducks... around.

Activities:

You can also enjoy the natural environment, through trails, or explore our heritage (Collegiate Church of Roncesvalles, Orbaiceta Arms Factory, Romanesque churches,Agostino Monastery...), explore the Irati jungle, on foot, horseback or Segway (environment-friendly means of transport), Pyrenees Adventure Park (walk through trees using zip lines, walkways, ropes, etc.), visit an artisan cheese factory, bird watching, walk the Camino de Santiago, etc.
